International Right to Information Day is celebrated in Magura on the initiative of Wave Foundation

Md. Saifullah, Magura Correspondent: International Right to Information Day is celebrated in Sreepur, Magura with the theme “Information is my right – does everyone know”.

International Information Rights Day was observed on Tuesday 27 September 2021 through Magura Sreepur Upazila and discussion meeting on the initiative of Responsibility of Government Services through Strengthening Participatory Governance implemented by Wave Foundation with the financial support of Donor Foundation for People and UKAID. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Liuza-ul-Jannah presided over the rally and discussion meeting organized by Sreepur Upazila Administration.
Present as special guests were Md. Osman Gani, Project Coordinator, Response Project, Abul Kalam Azad, President, Upazila Lok Morcha; Md. Wasim Akram, Upazila Social Service Officer, among others, was present among the presidents and general secretaries of 6 Union Lok Morchas of the upazila, journalists, members of ward level community groups and program officers of Response Project

Zoom Cloud Meeting Apps Virtual Orientation Workshop for leading personalities of various professions of Sreepur Upazila has been held on Tuesday, June 15 under the project titled “Awareness Communication Program on Child and Women Development (Phase 5)” organized by District Information Office, Magura. Shripura Upazila Nirbahi Officer Liuja-ul Jannah presided over the workshop as the chief guest was virtually present Magura Deputy Commissioner. Ashraful Alam. Special guests were Dr. Shahidullah Dewan, Civil Surgeon, Magura, Mia Mahmudul Gani, Chairman, Sreepur Upazila Parishad, Abul Kalam Azad, President, Sreepur Upazila Awami League. The workshop was divided into three sessions. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Liuza-ul Jannah conducted the working session on prevention of child marriage and prevention of violence against women and children. Civil Surgeon Dr. Shahidullah Dewan conducted the working session on Coronavirus, Maternal and Child Health and Safe Motherhood and Dengue and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Hasina Mumtaz conducted the working session on Birth Registration, Sanitation and Environment. District Information Officer Md. Rezaul Karim conducted the open discussion and participated in the open discussion.
