World should recognise and interact with new actuality in Afghanistan, says Qureshi alongside Spanish counterpart – Pakistan


Overseas Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi mentioned on Friday that there was a brand new actuality in Afghanistan, one the world wanted to recognise and interact with.

“For my part, the easiest way ahead is worldwide engagement versus worldwide isolation,” he mentioned, including that the latter could have undesirable penalties.

“It is not going to be useful for Afghanistan, the area and ultimately not be useful for [the world],” the international minister mentioned.

He careworn {that a} “new strategy” wanted to be adopted, including that intimidation, strain and coercion had not labored — a proven fact that have to be accepted.

Qureshi mentioned optimistic outcomes wanted to be incentivised.

The international minister pointed to the resumption of the evacuation of foreigners on Thursday when a flight left Kabul for Doha and mentioned that such developments have been according to the calls for of the worldwide group.
