There’s a new guest host on The View this week, and you’re not going to want to miss her. Jane Coaston will be stepping into Meghan McCain‘s empty conservative seat on the talk show this week, joining the ladies for hot topics after their brief Thanksgiving break. She’ll be joining this week’s guests, including Daniel Dae Kim, Tony Goldwyn, John McWhorter, and Uzo Aduba. Before she makes her grand debut on today’s episode, you may want to learn a little bit about The View‘s latest guest host.
The View has implemented rotating guest hosts for the entirety of Season 25, bringing bigger names like Condoleezza Rice and Alyssa Farah and smaller names like last week’s Kristen Soltis Anderson to the stage as the conservative voice. The show is still hunting for a permanent replacement for McCain, as all four ladies on the panel at the moment tend to be more left-leaning with their ideologies.
So, could Coaston be the official replacement? Let’s take a look at what the upcoming host has to offer.
Who is Jane Coaston, the new guest co-host of The View?
Jane Coaston is an ABC news contributor, as well as the host of the New York Times‘ “The Argument.” The podcast airs weekly on Wednesdays, aiming to tackle “strongly-held opinions” and “open-minded debates.” Sounds like she’s got some needed-experience heading into her days at The View.
Coaston actually identifies as a Libertarian, not a Republican.
Is Jane Coaston the permanent replacement for Meghan McCain?
Nope. There’s no permanent replacement for McCain quite yet, as The View is taking a little time to find someone to fill her chair.
How long will Jane Coaston be a co-host on The View?
Coaston will be co-hosting The View for just two days this week, beginning today and continuing into tomorrow’s (Nov. 30) episode. Then, we’ll probably get more guest hosts this December!
When will The View announce the new permanent host? The View hosting schedule:
At the moment, we have no idea when The View will announce the host that’ll snag the third slot permanently. We’ve seen folks like S.E. Cupp, Eboni K. Williams, and even Cindy McCain perform well in the position, so it could be any of them. It could even be Coaston, though we’re expecting an array of more guest hosts to step through the doors of The View.
So far, we only know that Cameran Eubanks is on the roster sometime in the future of Season 25. We won’t get a Flashback Friday returning guest host this Friday — Rachael Ray will come to visit instead.
When is The View on? How to watch The View Season 25:
If you want to watch The View online, all you’ll have to do is head on over to ABC’s website and log in with your cable credentials. Don’t have cable credentials? There’s a fix for that too: you’ll need to subscribe to a premium streaming service such as Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, Sling TV, FuboTV, or AT&T TV Now. You can watch ABC live on any of those services, or use the log-in credentials over at ABC’s website linked above.
