A woman was mugged at a knifepoint during rush hour in an Upper Manhattan subway stop, police said Monday.
The brazen robbery unfolded around 6 p.m. Thursday at the West 163rd Street station in Washington Heights where the assailant pulled a knife on the woman and tried to grab her phone, cops said.
After a brief struggle, the mugger made off with the woman’s purse, which was later found emptied out, cops said.

An unknown amount of money was taken, police said.
The woman was uninjured.
